The 5th Silk Road (Dunhuang) International Cultural Expo and the 10th Dunhuang Tour Silk Road International Tourism Festival was held in Dunhuang, Gansu province from September 24 to 26. Huang Kunming, a member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, a member of the Secretariat of the CPC Central Committee and head of the Publicity Department of CPC Central Committee, delivered opening keynote speech via video link at the opening ceremony and summit meeting.Li Huilai, Vice President of the Chinese People’s Institute of Foreign Affairs (CPIFA) attended the relevant activities.

Silk Road (Dunhuang) International Cultural Expo is the only comprehensively international cultural exposition with the theme of“Belt and Road” cultural exchange. DunhuangTour Silk Road International Tourism Festival is the only permanent international tourism festival named after the Silk Road in China. With the theme of “Symphonic Silk Road, Cultural Expo for all”, the Expo and Festival this year showcased Silk Road civilization, promoted cultural tourism exchanges, spread the Chinese voice and promoted Chinese culture worldwide through a series of forums, exhibitions and performances. About 300 guestsfrom 10 countries and regions and international organizations, including South Korea, Belarus and UNESCO, participated in the events online and offline andheld discussions on Belt and Road cooperation and drawing a beautiful blueprint for mutual benefit and win-win results.
