Recently, Dr. Akkan Suver, President of the Marmara Group Strategic and Social Research Foundation, Turkey, published an article in the Turkish mayor newspaper "Milliyet" to congratulate the 49th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Turkey.
Dr. Suver pointed out that as an important country along the ancient Silk Road, Turkey actively supports and participates in the Belt and Road initiatives, and has signed the memorandum of understanding on aligning the Belt and Road Initiative and Middle Corridor Initiative with China. It will greatly boost confidence and point out the direction for cooperation in various fields between Turkey and China. Since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, heart-felt sympathy, support and assistance have been rendered to each other between our two countries and peoples, which have enriched the connotation of the Belt and Road cooperation. Turkey is willing to work with China to further explore new areas of cooperation on the basis of enhancing mutual trust and to greet the 50th anniversary of China-Turkey diplomatic relations.
