In early June, Mr. Wang Chao, President of the Chinese People’s Institute of Foreign Affairs (CPIFA), wrote to Mr. Park Jeung, congratulating him on his reelection as Member of the 21st National Assembly of the Republic of Korea (ROK). On June 12, Park Jeung wrote to President Wang, speaking highly of the positive measures taken by China and ROK respectively in fighting against COVID-19 and their initiative to build a joint prevention and control mechanism. Park believed that ROK and China, as close neighbors, should continue to maintain close and friendly cooperation in the post-pandemic era, jointly overcoming difficulties and promoting bilateral relations to a higher level.

Park Jeung is a Minjoo Party member of the 20th and 21st National Assembly of the Republic of Korea. During the 20th National Assembly, he served as a member of the Foreign Affairs and Unification Committee.
