Mr. Paul Haenle, Director of the Carnegie–Tsinghua Center for Global Policy, wrote a letter to Mr. Wang Chao, President of the Chinese People’s Institute of Foreign Affairs (CPIFA), on April 11, in which he thanked President Wang for his letter of good wishes on the COVID-19 outbreak in America. Mr. Haenle said, “I agree that U.S.-China cooperation is critical in mitigating the spread of COVID-19 worldwide and addressing the deepening economic issues we face”.
