Amb. William Burns, former US Deputy Secretary of State and President of Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, wrote a letter to Mr. Wang Chao, President of the Chinese People’s Institute of Foreign Affairs on April 11, in which he thanked President Wang for his letter of good wishes on the COVID-19 outbreak in America. Amb. Burns said, “ It reminds all of us vividly of the importance of our collective humanity, and of cooperation on global challenges”.
