At the invitation of the CPIFA, Mr. Romano Prodi, former President of the European Commission and former Prime Minister of Italy visited Beijing, Guiyang and Shanghai from 17 to 23 July. He attended the Eco Forum Global Annual Conference Guiyang 2013 and gave a speech at the opening ceremony of the Forum. In Beijing, Ambassador Sun Rongmin, Vice President of CPIFA, met with Mr. Prodi. In Guiyang, Mr. Zhao Kezhi, Secretary of the CPC Guizhou Provincial Committee, met with him. Mr. Prodi also gave a lecture titled “Why Isn’t Europe Recovering?” at the China Europe International Business School in Shanghai.
