At the invitation of the Chinese People’s Institute of Foreign Affairs (CPIFA), Former US Assistant Secretary of Defense Chas Freeman visited Beijing from October 28 to November 1. During his visit, Mr. Freeman held meetings with Chinese government officials, corporate executives and experts on international affairs. The two sides exchanged views on China-US relations and issues of mutual concern. Amb. Lu Shumin, Vice President of CPIFA, had a meeting with him.
