At the invitation of the Chinese People’s Institute of Foreign Affairs (CPIFA), H.E. Mr. H. Dan Morais, Chairman of Foreign Affairs Committee of the Senate of Liberia, and H. E. Mr. Henry Boima Fahnbulleh, Chairman of Foreign Affairs Committee of the House of Representative of Liberia, paid a visit to Beijing and Tianjin from March 28 to 31, 2012.

       In Beijing, H. E. Mr. Li Zhaoxing, Chairman of Foreign Affairs Committee of the National People’s Congress, H. E. Mr. Ai Ping, Vice Minister of International Department of Central Committee of CPC, and Amb. Lu Shumin, Vice President of CPIFA, met with or hosted welcoming banquets in honor of the delegation respectively. The delegation also visited Beijing City Planning Exhibition Hall, Tianjin City Planning Exhibition Hall, Tianjin Dongjiang Free Trade Port and Tianjin Binhai New Area. The leading officials of People’s Government of Binhai New Area also held a round table discussion with the delegation on issues in relation to the construction of Port and Economic Development Zone.  

       Both Mr. Morais and Mr. Fahnbulleh expressed their deep appreciations on China’s achievements and exchanged in-depth views with their Chinese counterparts on Sino-Liberian relations, exchanges between the two parliaments, political parties and the two people.
