Former Iranian Foreign Minister Visits China

At the invitation of the Chinese People’s Institute of Foreign Affairs (CPIFA), Mr. Kamal Kharrazi, Former Iranian Foreign Minister, Iranian Highest Leader’s Adviser and President of Iranian Strategic Council on Foreign Affairs led a delegation to visit Beijing from March 22 to 29, 2012.
During the visit, Mr. Li Shenming, Vice President of China Academy of Social Sciences met with the delegation, and Mr. Huang Xingyuan, Vice President of CPIFA held a banquet in their honor. Scholars from the Central Party School of CPC, China Academy of Social Sciences, Beijing University, China Institutes of Contemporary International Relations, China Institute for International Strategic Studies, China Institute of International Studies and representatives of Chinese business community had panel discussions on issues of common concern with the Iranian visitors respectively.
The delegation spoke highly of China’s great achievement since the reform and open policy, and believed that China’s successful experience on socialist marketing system is worth learning for Iran. Iran is willing to strengthen communication with China on all levels, and to have cooperation on various fields, such as international affairs, cultural exchanges, internet media and public diplomacy.
