At the invitation of the Chinese People's Institute of Foreign Affairs (CPIFA), Amb. Liberata Mulamula, Executive Secretary of the International Conference on the Great Lakes Region (ICGLR) visited Beijing, Shaanxi and Zhejiang Provinces respectively from October 21 to 29, 2011. During her stay in Beijing, Amb. Lu Shumin, Vice President of the CPIFA, Mr. Dong Manyuan, Vice President of the China Institute of International Studies and Mr. Wang Yong, Chief Investment Officer of China-Africa Development Fund, met with her or hosted dinners in her honor. In Shaanxi, she attended a welcoming dinner hosted by Mr. Wang Xiaoan, Vice Chairman of CPPCC of Shaanxi Province. In Zhejiang, she met with Amb. Liu Guijin, Chinese Government’s Special Representative on African Affairs, and Mr. Lu Shaye, Director-General of the Department of African affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs respectively. The two sides exchanged views on China-African relations and other issues of common concern.

       Amb. Mulamula also attended the Opening Ceremony of the 1^st Meeting of the China-Africa Think Tanks Forum, held in Hangzhou,Zhejiang Province, and gave a keynote speech on Sino-African Relations in the Second Decade of the New Century.
