At the invitation of the Chinese People’s Institute of Foreign Affairs (CPIFA), Indonesian Council of World Affairs (ICWA) headed by Mr. Ibrahim Yusuf, the Executive Chairman of the council visited Beijing and Guangzhou from Oct. 26^th to Nov. 2^nd.

       In Beijing, the delegation had a panel discussion with the Foreign Policy Advisory Group of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (FPAG) headed by Amb. Xu Dunxin, former Vice Foreign Minister. Amb. Lu Shumin, Vice President of CPIFA, and Mr. Wang Jinzhen, Vice Chairman of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade and China Chamber of International Commerce held a banquet and a meeting with the delegation respectively.

       In Guangzhou, the delegation had a seminar with the experts and professors from South China Agricultural University. Mr. Wang Shitong, Deputy Director General of Foreign Affairs Office of Guangdong Provincial Government met with the delegates. They also visited EAST Group and the Old Site of Huangpu Military Academy in Dongguan City.

       The delegation spoke highly of the friendship between Indonesia and China and showed their appreciation for China’s social and economic development. During their visit, they not only exchanged in-depth views with China’s relevant organization on international issues of mutual concern, but also pursued the possibility of cooperation with China’s enterprises of their interest and successfully found the suitable partners.
