Visit to China by Japanese “893 Society” Delegation

       At the invitation of the Chinese People’s Institute of Foreign Affairs (CPIFA), Japanese “893 Society” Delegation visited Beijing, Mudanjiang, Suifenhe and Jixi from August 8th to 13th, 2011. Chen Jin, Deputy Director of the Document Research Office of CCCPC, Huang Xingyuan, Secretary-General of CPIFA, Lian Xiangmin, Director of Science Research Office, China Tibetology Research Center, Zhang Jun, Deputy Director of Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of Mudanjiang Foreign Affairs Office, and Ren Dongxue, Director of Foreign Affairs Office of Jixi Municipal Government met with the delegation respectively. Scholars from the Document Research Office and China Tibetology Research Center held seminars with the delegation respectively. They introduced the protection and relevant research activities of Tibetan culture and religion in China, and the detailed information about the government’s aid to the area.

       In Heilongjiang, the delegation also visited some trading ports at Sino-Russian border in Suifenhe, Tiger Fortress in Hulin, 856 Farm, General Wang Zhen Memorial Hall in Mishan, and Memorial Hall for Northeast Old Aviation School in Jixi. The delegation members spoke highly of the rapid development of the Northeast Old Industrious Base and showed their appreciation for the tremendous achievement of the building of New Socialist Countryside.
