Prince Andrew Visits China

       At the invitation of the Chinese People’s Institute of Foreign Affairs (CPIFA), Prince Andrew, The Duke of York, visited Beijing, Chongqing and Chengdu as Special Representative of International Trade and Investment of the United Kingdom from 12 to 19 May 2011. Vice Premier Li Keqiang met with the Duke of York at the Great Hall of the People on 17 May. Mr. Bo Xilai, Secretary of the CPC Chongqing Municipal Committee, Ambassador Yang Wenchang, President of CPIFA, Mme. Fu Ying, Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Zhong Shan, Vice Minister of Commerce, Mme. Huang Danhua, Vice Chairwoman of State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council (SASAC), Mr. Ge Honglin, Mayor of Chengdu, Mr. Fu Chengyu, Chairman of China Petrochemical Corporation (Sinopec Group), Mr. Wang Yilin, Chairman of China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC), and Mr. Dong Wenbiao, Chairman of China Minsheng Banking Corporation (CMBC) met with Prince Andrew on separate occasions. The two sides exchanged views on China-UK cooperation in trade and investment.
