On February 11, President Yang Wenchang attended a luncheon hosted by Japanese Ambassador to China H.E. Niwa Uichiro at his residence. Secretary-General Huang Xingyuan, Deputy Secretary-General Tian Peiliang, Minister Yokoi Yutaka and Minister Wada Mitsuhiro of the Japanese Embassy in China attended the luncheon.

       Ambassador Niwa expressed appreciation for CPIFA’s efforts in promoting Japan-China relations. He said he would continue to work closely with CPIFA to further the development of the bilateral relations.

       President Yang thanked Ambassador Niwa for his invitation and spoke highly of the ambassador’s approach of less rhetorics, more actions in promoting bilateral relations. As an institution committed to people-to-people diplomacy, CPIFA will work with the Embassy with a view to enhancing China-Japan strategic relationship of mutual benefit.
