At the invitation of the Chinese People’s Institute of Foreign Affairs (CPIFA), Mr. Peter Brown and Mr. Mike Holtzman, the President and Vice President of Brown Lloyd James Company, visited Beijing and Shanghai from October 18 to 24, 2010. During their stay, Vice Chairman C. H. Tung of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, Vice Foreign Minister Zhang Zhijun, Director-General Geng Yansheng of the Information Office of the Ministry of Defense, Director-General Jiang Weiqiang of the Department of International Relations of State Council Information Office, President Yang Jiemian of Shanghai Institute for International Studies, Deputy Secretary-General Bi Gang of CPIFA, either met with them or hosted lunches in their honor respectively. They also paid visits to Capitan Wei Jiafu of China Ocean Shipping Company, Chairman Kong Dan of China International Trust and Investment Corporation, Chairman Yi Jun of China Construction Group, Vice Chairman Zhou Jiping of China National Petroleum Corporation. Both sides exchanged views on Sino-US relations, the US domestic political and economic situations and China’s external public relations.
