CPIFA and NCUSCR Co-host the Virtual Visit of the US Congressional Staff Delegation on Climate Change and Energy

On October 14 and 28, the Chinese People’s Institute of Foreign Affairs (CPIFA) and the National Committee on United States-China Relations (NCUSCR) co-hosted the Virtual Visit of US Congressional Staff Delegation on Climate Change and Energy by organizing two video discussions between US Congressional Staffers and 5 Chinese experts, namely Mr. Xu Huaqing, the Director General of National Center for Climate Change Strategy and International Cooperation (NCSC), Prof. Li Junfeng, First Director General and the Senior Consultant of the NCSC , Prof. Zeng Ming, Deputy Director and Secretary General of the Energy Internet Special Committee of China Energy Research Society(CERS)and Prof. Zhang Xiliang, Director of the Institute of Energy, Environment and Economy (IEEE) of Tsinghua University, Mr. Zhang Da, associate professor of the IEEE. The two sides exchanged views on China's stance and actions on climate change and energy, the cooperation and exchanges in the relevant fields between the two countries, etc. Amb. Zhao Weiping, Vice President of the CPIFA, and Ms. Jiang Xiaoming, Director of North America and Oceanian Affairs Department of the CPIFA, chaired the discussions respectively.
