On the occasion of the 46th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Malaysia, General (R) Tan Sri Mohd Hashim Mohd Ali, Chairman ad interim of the Institute of Strategic and International Studies, Malaysia (ISIS, Malaysia), sent a congratulatory letter to Mr. Wang Chao, President of the Chinese People’s Institute of Foreign Affairs (CPIFA). 

He said in the letter that，as a major event in regional diplomatic history, the decision to establish the bilateral diplomatic relations in 1974 have stood the test of time and benefited both countries over the past 46 years. He expressed thanks for China’s sending medical experts to Malaysia, emphasizing that the cooperation between the two countries in combating COVID-19 strengthened the bilateral relations and could serve as a model for others.

He spoke highly of the cooperation between ISIS and CPIFA, saying that CPIFA has provided a pathway enhancing mutual understanding and communication and hopes the cooperation could resume in near future.
