From 1st to 5th December, Mr.Eric Alauzet, ex-President of France-China Friendship Group of the National Assembly of France headed the French mayors delegation to visit Beijing and Tianjin on invitation of CPIFA.

Mr.Ding Zhongli, Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, met the delegation in Beijing and exchanged views on China-France relations, China-EU relations, legislative cooperation between China and France etc. Mrs.Yu Jinsong, Secretary General of CPIFA, and representatives from Ministry of Commerce and Ministry of Culture and Tourism met the delegation respectively.

On 3rd December, the delegation participated in the Round Table Meeting of Chinese and French Mayors 2024, co-organized by the Chinese People’s Institute of Foreign Affairs (CPIFA) and Committee of French-Chinese Exchanges and Development in Tianjin. French mayors from Mont-de-Marsan, Montargis, Houdan, Nevers and Chinese mayors and county  chief executive from Huzhou and Taizhou of Zhejiang Province, Guang’an of Sichuan Province, Nankai District of Tianjin, Wanzhou District of Chongqing, Changsha County of Hunan Province, fully exchanged views on China-France urban cooperation and sustainable development of cities. The delegation also visited Airbus (Tianjin) Final Assembly Co.,Ltd. The Chinese and French mayors attended the special concert for the Round Table Meeting of Chinese and French Mayors held by Tianjin Conservatory of Music.
