Many Peruvians gathered along the roadsides and waved their hands to greet him, making him deeply feel the Peruvian people's friendship toward the Chinese people. China and Peru, are both ancient civilizations. They inherit from their rich cultural heritages the wisdom and an open mind to appreciate the trajectory of history, move with the trend of the times, and value equality, mutual respect, mutual trust and mutual learning, setting a strong example of solidarity and cooperation between countries of different sizes, systems, and cultures. Xi Jinping said that over the past 53 years of diplomatic relations, in particular, since his first state visit to Peru in 2016, trade and investment cooperation between the two sides has grown rapidly under joint efforts, bringing tangible benefits to the people of the two countries. The two sides need to review past success, improve and upgrade practical cooperation and bring the China-Peru comprehensive strategic partnership to still new heights and better benefit the two peoples.
