On November 13, Mr. Wang Chao, President of the Chinese People’s Institute of Foreign Affairs (CPIFA), met with the delegation of the UK National Committee on China (UKNCC), headed by the Chair Mr. Frank Slevin and the Chief Executive Mr. Ollie Shiell. The two sides exchanged views on China-UK relations, cooperation between the two institutions and other issues of common concern. Mr. Yang Tao, Vice President of CPIFA, was present at the meeting. 

Wang Chao said that as the Permanent Members of the UN Security Council and the world’s leading economies, China stands ready to engage in equal dialogue with the UK on the basis of mutual respect, enhance mutual understanding and mutual trust, strengthen synergy of development strategies with the UK. Wang Chao hopes that UKNCC continues to play a positive role in pushing a stable and far-reaching bilateral relation, jointly deepening people-to-people exchanges and promoting world peace and development.
