On September 20, Ambassador Wang Yu, Vice President of the Chinese People’s Institute of Foreign Affairs, met with General (Retd) Ehsan ul Haq, former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee of Pakistan. Amb. Wang briefed the latter the essence of the Third Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee. The two sides also exchanged views on  China-Pakistan relations, regional and international situations, etc..
