Seminar on China-Viet Nam Relations Successfully Held

On September 24, 2024, the Seminar on China-Viet Nam Relations, co-organized by the Chinese People’s Institute of Foreign Affairs (CPIFA), Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam (DAV) and the Embassy of China in Vietnam was successfully held in Beijing. Amb. Wang Yu, Vice President of CPIFA and Dr. Nguyen Hung Son, Vice President of DAV respectively headed the Chinese and Vietnamese delegations. Focusing on the theme of “Building a China-Viet Nam Community with a Shared Future Carrying Strategic Significance”, the two sides conducted frank and in-depth exchanges on topics of “Steering the Direction of Building a Community with a Shared Future, Solidifying the ‘Six Overall Goals’ Development Pattern” and “Promoting Open and Inclusive Regional Cooperation, Jointly Maintaining Regional Peace, Stability”.
The Chinese delegation includes Amb. Wei Wei, Advisor of CPIFA, Prof. Huang Kun, Director of Institute for Contemporary Capitalism and Deputy Director/Secretary General of Center for Chinese Modernization under School of Marxism Studies, Party School of Central Committee of CPC (National Academy of Governance), Prof. Pan Jin’e, Director of Department of International Communist Movement under Academic Division of Marxist Studies, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS), and experts and scholars from think tanks and universities including CASS, Chinese Academy of Macroeconomic Research, China National Research Association for Innovation and Development Strategy (CIIDS), Peking University and China Institute for Marine Affairs. The Vietnamese delegation includes Dr. Bui Truong Giang, Vice Chairman and Secretary-General of the Central Theoretical Council, Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV), Amb. Pham Quang Vinh, Senior Advisor of DAV and former Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam, Prof. Nguyen Vu Tung, Senior Advisor and former President of DAV and experts from DAV.
