The Second Meeting of the China-U.S. AI Track Two Dialogue Held Successfully

On August 7, 2024, the second meeting of the China-U.S. AI Track Two Dialogue was held via video link. The two sides conducted candid and in-depth discussions on AI.

President Wang Chao of the Chinese People’s Institute of Foreign Affairs (CPIFA) chaired the Chinese delegation which includes Amb. Cui Tiankai, Advisor to the CPIFA Council and former Chinese Ambassador to the U.S., and leading AI experts and scholars from think tanks, institutions of higher education and private sectors.  

The U.S. delegation was co-chaired by Craig Mundie, former Chief Research and Strategy Officer at Microsoft, and Larry Summers, former Secretary of the Treasury and former Director of the National Economic Council. The U.S. contingent consisted of a rotating set of leaders with extensive experience in government and private industry.
