From 27 to 31 May, at the invitation of the Chinese People’s Institute of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Stephan Weil, Minister-President of Lower Saxony, visited Shanghai and Anhui Province. During his visit, Mr. GONG Zheng, Mayor of Shanghai, Mr. HAN Jun, Secretary of CPC Anhui Provincial Committee, Mr. WANG Qingxian, Governor of Anhui Province, met with Mr. Stephan Weil respectively. The two sides exchanged views on China-Germany relations and practical cooperation between two countries. Mr. Stephan Weil attended the Shanghai-Lower Saxony Business Exchange Meeting and the 40th anniversary of the establishment of friendly relations between Anhui Province and Lower Saxony, and the 17th Chinese-German Symposium on Application-Oriented University Education. He visited COSCO Shipping in Shanghai and Gotion High-tech, VW Anhui and Hefei University in Anhui Province. Mr. Stephan Weil also paid visits to Hongcun Village and Huangshan Mountain, where he planted friendship tree.
