From 24 to 28 March, at the invitation of the Chinese People’s Institute of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Markus Soder, Minister-President of Free State of Bavaria,  visited Beijing and Sichuan. During his visit, Premier LI Qiang, Mr. WANG Wentao, Minister of MOFCOM, Mr. WANG Xiaohui,  Secretary of CPC Sichuan Provincial Committee, Mr. HUANG Qiang, Governor of Sichuan Province, met with Dr. Markus Soder respectively. The two sides exchanged views on China-Germany relations and practical cooperation between two countries. Dr. Soder also attended the Ceremony to reaffirm the agreement on sisterhood between Sichuan Province and State of Bavaria, visited Chengdu Research Base of Panda Breeding, Meglev experimental line in Chengdu Xinzhu Road&Bridge Machinery Co., Ltd and watched teenager’s soccer match. In Beijing, Dr. Soder visited Qinghua University, where he was granted as Distinguished Visiting Professor and had discussions with students. Dr. Soder also visited the Forbidden City and the Mutianyu Great Wall.
