Vice President Li Jie Attends the First Iran-China Think Tank Dialogue Forum

From December 23 to 24,2023, at the invitation of the Institute for Political and International Studies of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran (hereinafter referred to as IPIS), Amb. Li Jie, Vice President of the Chinese People's Institute of Foreign Affairs, attended the First Iran-China Think Tank Dialogue Forum in Tehran.
The theme of the forum is "Towards Bolstered Partnership in Evolving World Order". More than 50 scholars from Chinese and Iranian think tanks and universities conducted discussions on the evolution of the world order,the regional situation and bilateral relations. Dr. Mohammad Sheikholeslami, President of IPIS, Dr. Mahdi Safari and Dr. Ali Bagheri, Deputy Foreign Ministers of Iran, and Dr. Li Wentang, Vice President of the Party School of the Central Committee of C.P.C (National Academy of Governance) addressed the opening ceremony respectively.
Li Jie delivered a keynote speech on the evolution of the current world order, China's important ideas and initiatives, China-Iran relations and answered the questions of the Iranian representatives on the current international system changes and China-Iran cooperation in the discussion session. Li Jie stressed that facing a turbulent world, China has consistently stood by peace, development, cooperation and mutual benefit, contributing its share to global peace and development. China is willing to work with Iran to implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state, strengthen communication, cement mutual trust, expand cooperation, keep pursuing mutual benefit and win-win outcomes, pass down our friendship from generation to generation, and practice true multilateralism to make the China-Iran comprehensive strategic partnership even stronger.
On the sidelines of the Forum, Li Jie and other Chinese participants also exchanged views on China-Iran cooperation with experts,scholars and entrepreneurs from Shahid Beheshti University, the Center for Economic Studies of Iran Chamber of Commerce and the Tehran Chamber of Commerce respectively.
