Mr. Ji Bingxuan, Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the 13th National People’s Congress of China, attended the Fifth China France Track Two High-Level Dialogue and visited France with a Delegation

From 17th to 21st December, Mr. Ji Bingxuan, Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the 13th National People’s Congress of China attended the Fifth China France Track Two High-Level Dialogue and visited France by heading a delegation.
The Fifth China France Track Two High-Level Dialogue was co-hosted by the Chinese People’s Institute of Foreign Affairs (CPIFA) and the France-China Foundation (FCF). Mr. Ji Bingxuan, Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the 13th National People’s Congress of China, and Mrs. Carole Bureau-Bonnard, Former First Vice President of the National Assembly of France, attended the dialogue as co-chairs, and respectively delivered keynote speeches and closing remarks. Mr. Wang Chao, President of the CPIFA, and Mr. Nicolas Macquin, Co-President of the FCF, attended the meeting and gave remarks. About 40 prominent delegates from the political, economic and environmental protection sectors of China and France, including Mr. Xie Zhenhua, China Special Envoy for Climate Change, Mrs. Jiang Xiaojuan, Professor of University of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and Former Deputy Secretary-General of the State Council, and Mrs. Gao Yan, former Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), had in-depth and candid discussions on the topics “The China-France Relations” and “China-France Cooperation on Climate Change” both online and offline.
During the visit, Mr. Ji Bingxuan also met respectively with Mr. Laurent Fabius, Chairman of the Constitutional Council of France, Mr. Jérôme Durain, President of the France-China Friendship Group of the French Senate, and Mr. Jean-Louis Bourlanges, President of the Foreign Affairs Commission of the French National Assembly. Mr. Ji Bingxuan elaborated on the core spirit of the 20th National Congress of the CPC, Chinese modernization and China’s economic and social developments, the Global Development Initiative (GDI), Global Security Initiative (GSI) and Global Civilization Initiative (GCI). He also exchanged views with the French side over China-France relations, China-Europe relations, the current international situation and other issues of common interests.
