From 15 to 19 May, at the invitation of the Chinese People’s Institute of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Gerhard Schroeder, former German Chancellor, visited Guangzhou, Qingdao and Jinan. During this visit, Mr. LIN Keqing, Chairman of CPC Guangdong Provincial Political Consultative Conference, Secretary of Guangzhou Municipal Committee, Mr. LU Zhiyuan, Deputy Secretary of CPC Shandong Provincial Committee, Secretary of CPC Qingdao Municipal Committee, Mr. YU Haitian, Mayor of Jinan Municipal Government, met with Dr. Schroeder respectively. The two sides exchanged views on China-Germany relations and practical cooperation between two countries.
