From December 8-9, the Third Meeting of the US-China Eminent Persons Forum was held online by the Chinese People’s Institute of Foreign Affairs (CPIFA) and the US-China Transpacific Foundation (UCTPF). Mr. Yang Jiechi, member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Director of the Office of the Central Commission for Foreign Affairs delivered a written speech at the opening of the meeting. The Chinese and US delegations, respectively headed by Mr. Wang Chao, President of the CPIFA, and Sen. Joseph Lieberman, Former US Senator (Connecticut-D), had in-depth discussion on China-US relations.
