On March 26, the Chinese People’s Institute of Foreign Affairs (CPIFA) and the US-Asia Institute (USAI) co-hosted the fourth virtual visit of US Congressional Staff Delegation in 2021 by organizing a video meeting between officials of the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) and 9 US Congressional Staffers. Mr. Xu Jing, Director-General of Department of Strategic Planning of the MOST and Mr. Xu Jie, Deputy Director-General of the Department of International Cooperation of the MOST briefed the US delegation on issues concerning the development and planning of science and technology in China and US-China science and technology cooperation, and together with their colleagues from the MOST answered questions raised by the US side. Ambassador Zhao Weiping, Vice President of the CPIFA, chaired the meeting, which was also attended by Chairman Glenn Lau-Kee and several trustees of USAI.
