On September 29, Amb. Fujisaki Ichiro, President of Nakasone Peace Institute（NPI）wrote to Mr. Wang Chao, President of the Chinese People’s Institute of Foreign Affairs (CPIFA), congratulating the 48th anniversary of the normalization of diplomatic relations between China and Japan. 

Fujisaki said that Japanese Prime Minister Suga Yoshihide and Chinese President Xi Jinping just had their first telephone conversation. A stable bilateral relationship is not only of great importance to the two countries, but also to the region and the whole world. He hopes the Japan-China relations will be lifted to a new level.

Fujisaki expressed that this year's Symposium on China-Japan Relations will be held online. The NPI will continue to work towards closer relations between the two institutions.
