H.E.Dr.Péter Medgyessy, former Prime Minister of Hungary, sent a letter to Mr. Wang Chao, President of the Chinese People’s Institute of Foreign Affairs (CPIFA), on March 9th. In the letter, Dr. Medgyessy extended his respect and appreciation to Chinese people for their heroic fight against COVID-19 under the leadership of President Xi Jinping, the results of which are taking shape in China. He was convinced that China will be able to eliminate the economic consequences of the epidemic and China’s achievements in this fight can serve as an important lesson for combating similar epidemics in the world for the coming decades.

Dr. Medgyessy looks forward to further strengthening exchanges and cooperation with CPIFA.
