At the invitation of the Chinese People’s Institute of Foreign Affairs (CPIFA), Chairman of Myanmar Union Election Commission, H.E. U Hla Thein led a delegation to Beijing and Yunan during 2-6 Dec.2019, in order to learn from China’s experience on nation building and governance and to understand the system of  Chinese People’s Congress.

In Beijing, Mr. Luo Zhaohui, Vice Foreign Minister, and Mr. Wang Chao, President of CPIFA met with or held a banquet for the delegation respectively. In Yunnan, Mr. Chen Hao, Secretary of Yunnan Provincial CPC Committee and Chairman of the Standing Committee of Yunnan Provincial People’s Congress, and Mr. Li Pei, Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of Yunnan Provincial People’s Congress met with and had discussion with the delegation separately. In Kunming, the delegation visited a Yi village and understood better the economic and social development of ethnic minorities in Yunnan.
