US Congressional Staff Delegation Organized by the National Committee on US-China Relations Visited China

At the invitation of the Chinese People’s Institute of Foreign Affairs (CPIFA), US Congressional Staff Delegation organized by the National Committee on US-China Relations visited Beijing, Kunming and Pu’er from November 3-12, 2019.

In Beijing, Mr. Zhang Min, Secretary-General of the CPIFA and officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs met with the delegation respectively and exchanged views on China-US relations, bilateral economic and trade cooperation as well as other issues of common interest. The delegation also had a discussion with officials of Asia Infrastructure Investment Bank.

In Kunming, Mr. Li Pei, Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of Yunnan Provincial People’s Congress met with the delegation and briefed them on local economic and social development. The delegation also had discussions with the Institute of Botany, Chinese Academy of Sciences and Yunnan Nationalities University, and visited Yunnan Cigarette Plant.

In Pu’er, Mr.Ma Xianchu, Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of Pu’er Municipal People’s Congress met with the delegation and exchanged views with them on local economic and social development. The delegation also visited Yunnan International Coffee Exchange, Starbucks Aini Coffee Co., LTD, Pu’er Zuxiang Alpine Tea Co.,LTD, Tasly Deepure Biological Tea Group Co.,LTD and Pu’er Simao No.1 Primary School.
