US Congressional Staff Delegation Organized by the US-China Institute Visits China

At the invitation of the Chinese People’s Institute of Foreign Affairs (CPIFA), US Congressional Staff Delegation organized by the US-China Institute visited Beijing, Shanghai and Guilin from August 17 to 25, 2019.





During their stay in Beijing, Mr. Ye Yanfei, Director of Policy Research Bureau of China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission, Dr. Zhou Mi, Deputy Executive Director of the Institute of  the American and Oceanian Study in the Chinese Academy of International Trade and Economic Cooperation of Ministry of Commerce, and Dr. Wang Wen, Executive Dean of Chongyang Institute for Financial Studies of Renmin University, met with the delegation respectively and exchanged views on China-US relations, bilateral economic and trade cooperation, China’s development in financial services as well as other issues of common interest. The delegation also attended the Thematic Event in Commemorating the 40th Anniversary of the Establishment of the Diplomatic Relations Between the People’s Republic of China and the United States of America: The Friendly Exchanges Between the CPIFA and the United States Congress held by CPIFA and the reception for the visiting US congressional delegations hosted by Mr. Jing Quan, Deputy Director-General of North American and Oceanian Affairs Department of Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and viewed the exhibition of The Road to Rejuvenation in the National Museum.



In Shanghai, the delegates visited Shanghai Stock Exchange and Alipay. 


In Guilin, Mr. Xu Xiangwei, Deputy Director of Guilin Financial Office, had a discussion with the delegation and introduced local economic and financial development. The delegation also visited Chonghua Traditional Chinese Medicine Street and Lujia Village.
