At the invitation of the Chinese People’s Institute of Foreign Affairs (CPIFA), US Congressional Staff Delegation organized by US-Asia Foundation visited Beijing, Nanjing and Wuhan from April 16 to 24, 2019. 

During their stay in Beijing, Mr. Zhang Min, Secretary-General of CPIFA and officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs met with the delegation and exchanged views on China-US relations, bilateral economic and trade cooperation as well as other issues of common interest. The delegation also visited Microsoft Research and Development Center.

In Nanjing, Ms. Zou Lizhen, Division Chief of Jiangsu Provincial Foreign Affairs Office met with the delegation and exchanged views with them on local economic and social development. The delegation also had a discussion with the Department of Commerce of Jiangsu Province, and visited Walmart and Nanjing Deshuo Industry Co. LTD. 

In Wuhan, Mr.Wu Jianmin, Vice President of  Hubei Provincial People’s Friendship Association met with the delegation and exchanged views with them on local economic and social development. The delegation also conducted a discussion with Hubei Department of Commerce and the Provincial Development and Reform Commission respectively, and visited GM Wuhan Branch, Optics Valley Exhibition Hall and East Lake Green Way Ecological Park.
