US Congressional Staff Delegation Organized by US-Asia Foundation Visits China

At the invitation of the Chinese People’s Institute of Foreign Affairs (CPIFA), US Congressional Staff Delegation organized by US-Asia Foundation visited Beijing, Chongqing and Hangzhou from April 15 to 23.
During their stay in Beijing, Mr. Zhang Min, Secretary General of CPIFA and officials from Ministry of Foreign Affairs met with the delegation and exchanged views on China-US relations, bilateral economic and trade cooperation as well as other issues of common interest. The delegation also visited Microsoft Research and Development Center and had a discussion with Beijing University of Chinese Medicine on the topic of traditional Chinese Medicine development.

In Chongqing, Mr. Du Liming, Deputy Directorof the Standing Committee of Chongqing Municipal People’s Congress met with the delegation and gave an introduction on local economic and social development. The delegation also had a discussion with Health Commission of Chongqing Municipality and visited the First Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University, Chongqing Renmin Primary School and Stilwell Museum.
InHangzhou, Mr. Jin Yonghui, Director General of Zhejiang Provincial Foreign Affairs Office met with the delegation and exchanged views on economic and social development of Zhejiang Province. The delegation also conducted a discussion with Health Commission ofZhejiang Province, and visited a Chinese Medicine Museum as well asthe World Internet Conference venue.
