On Dec. 7, the 5th Meeting of China-Australia High Level Dialogue, co-hosted by the Chinese People’s Institute of Foreign Affairs and Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Australia, was held at Diaoyutai State Guesthouse in Beijing. The meeting was chaired by Amb. Wu Hailong, President of CPIFA, and Amb. Li Zhaoxing, Honorary President of CPIFA and Hon. John Howard, Former Australian Prime Minister headed the Chinese and Australian delegation respectively. 37 delegates of both sides were present at the meeting, including representatives from political, academic, media and business fields. Both sides conducted in-depth discussions on bilateral relations, economic and trade cooperation, international and regional issues as well as people to people exchanges.
