Vice President Wei Wei Attends The Fifth World Internet Conference

The fifth World Internet Conference was held from November 7 to 9 in Wuzhen, Zhejiang province. Vice President Wei Wei of the Chinese People’s Institute of Foreign Affairs (CPIFA) attended the opening ceremony, the sub-forum entitled International Cooperation along the “Digital Silk Road” and the Light of Internet Expo.
The fifth World Internet Conference is co-organized by the Cyberspace Administration of China and People’s Government of Zhejiang province. About 1500 guests attended the conference and exchanged views focusing on the theme “Creating a Digital World of Mutual Trust and Collective Governance—Towards a Community with a Shared Future in Cyberspace”.
The sub-forum of International Cooperation along the “Digital Silk Road” is co-organized by the National Development and Reform Commission of China and the Chinese People’s Institute of Foreign Affairs. More than 10 distinguished guests including Shaukat Aziz, former Prime Minister of Pakistan, Ding Lei, CEO of NetEase Inc, Sun Pishu, chairman of Inspur Group, and Gong Yu, CEO of iQiyi.com attended the forum and held discussions on international cooperation along the “Belt and Road”, digital economy, innovation and entrepreneurship, etc.
