On October 16，The Chinese People’s Institute of Foreign Affairs (CPIFA) and Global Bridges of Germany held workshop jointly in Beijing. Mr. Liang Jianquan, Vice President of CPIFA, chaired the meeting. Representatives come from Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China, and more than 30 delegates from German Business and Academic community were present at the workshop. The two sides exchanged views on China-EU, China-US, EU-Russia relations, and other issues of common interest. They agreed that under the current international situation, China and Europe should enhance communication and dialogue, deepen understanding, expand economic and trade cooperation in joint efforts to promote further development of both sides, maintain the free international trade system and promote the stability and sustainable development of the world.

Working together with CPIFA, the Global Bridges has been organizing delegations to visit China since 2005, to promote better understanding of China’s economic and social development. Besides Beijing, the delegation will also visit Shen Zhen.
