The Roundtable on China-Philippines Relations Held in Beijing

On October 15, the Roundtable on China-Philippines Relations, co-sponsored by the Chinese People’s Institute of Foreign Affairs (CPIFA) and the Philippine Council for Foreign Relations (PCFR), was held in Beijing.
The Chinese delegation was headed by Amb. Wu Hailong, President of CPIFA, and consisted of scholars from Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Academy of Military Sciences PLA China, China International Institute for strategic Society, China Institute of International Studies, China Institute of Contemporary International Relations, Peking University, China Foreign Affairs University. The Philippine delegation was led by Mr. Rafael Alunan III, Chairman of PCFR, and consisted of Mr. Alan Ortiz, President of PCFR, Gen. Edilberto Adan, Amb. Vidal Querol, and Philippine scholars and businessmen.
Amb. Wu Hailong and Mr. Rafael Alunan III, addressed the opening ceremony respectively. Delegates from both sides conducted in-depth discussions on how to further enhance China-Philippines relations.
The roundtable is part of the exchange mechanism between CPIFA and PCFR. The Philippine delegation also visited Xiamen and Shanghai during the trip.
