At the invitation of the Chinese People’s Institute of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Gerhard Schroeder, Former Chancellor of Germany, visited Qingdao and Beijing from 8 to 13 February 2017. Ambassador Wu Hailong, President of the CPIFA, met with Mr. Schroeder on 12 February. The two sides exchanged in-depth views on Sino-German relations, China-EU relations and other issues of common interest.
