President Wu Hailong Attends the Luncheon with Ambassador of Poland

On 21st July, Amb.Wu Hailong, President of CPIFA, was invited to attend the luncheon hosted by Mr. Mirosław Gajewski, Ambassador of Poland to China. Both sides exchanged views on the Belt and Road Initiative, “16+1”Cooperation, the issue of the South China Sea, relations between major powers and the Brexit. Amb.Sun Rongmin, Vice President of CPIFA, was present at the luncheon.

 

President Wu Hailong expressed his appreciation to the Polish side on their active participation in “16+1” Cooperation and the implementation of the Belt and Road Initiative. He said he himself and CPIFA would like to continue to strengthen cooperation with the Polish Embassy to contribute to the friendly exchanges and cooperation between the two countries. Besides, President Wu also elaborated the Chinese Government’s position on the issue of the South China Sea.

 

Amb. Mirosław Gajewski said that Chinese President Xi Jinping paid a significant and successful state visit to Poland last month. By establishing the Polish-Chinese Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, our bilateral relations have stepped into a fast development track. Poland is at the heartland of Europe. Several China Railway Express trains to Europe pass through Poland or are bound for Poland. Poland would like to make use of its geographical advantage to participate in “16+1” Cooperation and the implementation of the Belt and Road Initiative to further enhance practical cooperation with China as well as Polish-Chinese bilateral relations.
