On 16th July, Former State Councilor Tang Jiaxuan met with Former French Prime Minister Dominique de Villepin, who came to attend the Fifth World Peace Forum. The two sides exchanged views on Sino-French and Sino-European relations, anti-terrorism, the Belt and Road Initiative as well as the South China Sea issue. Ambassador Lu Shumin, Executive Vice-President of Chinese People’s Institute of Foreign Affairs, was present at the meeting.
