At the invitation of Guizhou Provincial Committee of the CPC andGuizhou Provincial Government, Amb. Wu Hailong, President of the Chinese People’s Institute of foreign Affairs (CPIFA) attended Eco Forum Global Annual Conference Guiyang 2016 from July 7th to 10th. On 8thJuly, he accompanied H.E Mr. Yu Zhengsheng, Member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Chairman of the National Committee of the CPPCC, in meeting with former statesmeninvited to the conference by CPIFA (including former Taoiseach of Ireland Bertie Ahern,former President of NigeriaOlusegun Obasanjo,former President of ColumbiaAndres Pastrana andformer Prime Minister of HungaryMedgyessy Peter). During the conference, Amb. Wu Hailong attended the opening ceremony and the International Advisory Council meeting. Moreover, he delivered a keynote speech in the sub-forum on sustainable development themed “Achieving the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and Ecological Civilization through Innovative Approach”, co-hosted by Ministry of Foreign Affairsand UN System in China.
