Chinese-German Dialogue Forum Meeting 2016 Holds in Foshan

The Chinese-German Dialogue Forum Meeting 2016 was held in Foshan from 30 June to 3 July. Professor Xu Kuangdi, Chinese Chairman of the Forum, Vice Chairman of the 10th CPPCC National Committee and Dr. Martin Brudermüller, German Chairman of the Forum, Vice Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors of BASF SE, co-chaired the meeting. Amb. Lu Shumin, Executive Vice President of CPIFA, and Amb. Sun Rongmin, Vice President of CPIFA, attended the Forum.
25 members from the political, economic, cultural, academic fields and the media of both countries attended the Forum, exchanged views under 4 topics：Sino-German cooperation in the field of environmental protection and Germany’s experience in the development of low-carbon economy; Sino-German cooperation and mutual learning in the field of urbanization; Current status and experience sharing on the population aging issue in both countries; Employment issues. They put forward concrete policy proposals for further enhancing comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Germany.
The Chinese-German Dialogue Forum was initiated in 2005 by the Prime Ministers of the two countries with annual meetings held in China and Germany alternately. The Chinese secretariat of the forum is based in CPIFA.
