H.E. Mr. Ali Hassan Mwinyi, Former President of Tanzania Visits China
At the invitation of the Chinese People’s Institute of Foreign Affairs (CPIFA), H.E. Mr. Ali Hassan Mwinyi, former President of Tanzania, led a 10-member delegation to Beijing and Guangdong from September 19 to 26, 2015. During the visit, H.E. Mr. Abdul’ahat Abdulrixit, Chairman of Chinese-African People’s Association and Vice Chairman of the 10th and 11th National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, met with Mr. Mwinyi. Amassador Lu Shumin, President of UN Association of China (UNA-China), Mr. Wu Ken, Deputy Secretary General of Guangdong Provincial Government, and Mr. Jiang Ling, Mayor of Zhuhai Municipal Government met with or hosted dinners in honor of the delegation respectively. Mr. Mwinyi made a speech at the Opening Ceremony of the International Seminar on the 70th Anniversary of the United Nations, which was co-organized by UNA-China and CPIFA.
Mr. Mwinyi expressed his deep admiration for China’s achievements and gratitude for China’s long-term assistance and support to Tanzania. He said Tanzania will continue to promote friendship and deepen cooperation in various fields with China.
