Chinese-German Dialogue Forum 2015 Holds in Leipzig

       From 25 to 28 June, the Chinese-German Dialogue Forum 2015 was held in Leipzig, Germany. Professor Xu Kuangdi, Chinese Chairman of the Forum, Vice Chairman of the 10th CPPCC National Committee, Senior Advisor of CPIFA and Dr. Martin Brudermüller, German Chairman of the Forum, Vice Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors of BASF SE, co-chaired the meeting.

       More than 30 members from the political, economic, cultural, academic fields and the media from both countries attended the Forum, exchanging views under the theme of technological innovation – global industry transformation and social innovation – job market transformation, inclusion during transformations and transforming bilateral cooperation, and putting forward concrete policy proposals for further enhancing comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Germany.

       During the Forum, Mr. Stanislaw Tillich, Minister-President of State Saxony and Mr. Dieter Haller, Director-General for Economic Affairs and Sustainable Development of the Federal Foreign Office of Germany, met with and hosted dinners for the members respectively.

       The Chinese-German Dialogue Forum was initiated in 2005 by the Prime Ministers of the two countries with annual meetings held in China and Germany alternately. The Chinese secretariat of the forum is based in CPIFA.
