At the invitation of the Chinese People’s Institute of Foreign Affairs (CPIFA), a delegation of former members of state parliament of Northern Thailand visited Beijing and Shanghai from 21th to 25th June. During their stay in Beijing, Wang Guoqing, Vice-Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the National Committee of the CPPCC, Ambassador Peng Keyu, Vice President of CPIFA, and officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs met with them respectively. During their stay in Shanghai, Wang Zhong, Vice Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of Shanghai Municipal People’s Congress (SMPC), met with them. The two sides exchanged views on the issues of common interest. Chao Xiaoliang, Chinese Consul General in Chiang Mai, accompanied the visit.
