The 5th Seminar on China-Indonesia Relations Held in Beijing

On June 10, the 5th Seminar on China-Indonesia Relations, co-sponsored by the Chinese Institute of Foreign Affairs (CPIFA) and the Indonesia Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), was successfully held in Beijing.
The Seminar, in commemoration of the 60th anniversary of the Bandung Conference, was a follow-up event for President Xi Jinping’s visit to Indonesia. Amb. Yang Wenchang, President of CPIFA, and Mr. Jusuf Wanandi, Vice chair of the Board of Trustees, CSIS, delivered opening remarks respectively. About 50 senior diplomats, experts, scholars, business and media representatives from both countries attended the Seminar. Under the theme of “Commemorating the 60th Anniversary of the Bandung Conference”, the delegates from both sides had an in-depth discussion on topics such as China-Indonesia bilateral relations, regional cooperation and reinvigorating the new Asian African strategic partnership, and put forward valuable suggestions for enhancing cooperation between the two countries.
